Mystic Festival 2023: Rock’n’roll Ride with The Hellacopters and Greg Puciato’s Experiments

The Hellacopters, Greg Puciato, Undeath and Bury Tomorrow join the line-up of next year’s Mystic Festival

No Hellacopters, no fun! The band was formed back in the 90s, in Stockholm. They fooled us with the title of their first album “Supershitty to the Max!”, because their music brings together all that’s best in Swedish guitar music: the energy of punk, the joy of rock’n’roll, and the intensity of metal. In the spring of 2022, The Hellacopters released their first record since 2008, and every bit of “Eyes of Oblivion” confirms they still got what it takes. At Mystic Festival 2023, their will come to Poland for the very first time. Finally!

We’ve all met Greg Puciato as the relentless front man of The Dillinger Escape Plan, but it turned out later that he is indeed a man of many talents – and that he has been part of Killers Be Killed and The Black Queen, or that he has performed with Jerry Cantrell. Truth be told, however, Greg at his purest can be found in his solo music, where experimentation mixes with elevated beauty. His concert cannot be anything else but an adventure.

Bury Tomorrow will deliver their metalcore kicks right in your jaw. As aptly summarized by Louder Sound, the Brits have been ”neatly balancing stunning melodies with teeth-clenching brutality” for fifteen years now. The first single of their seventh album, “The Seventh Sun,” which is to be released in March, promises material that will not disappoint.

Undeath come from Rochester in New York, and they debuted two years ago, but they sound as if they were buried in one grave with Autopsy and Cannibal Corpse. All you need to do is to check their concert album recorded a few weeks ago – “Live… From the Grave” – and you will be head over heels in love with this putrid, bloody, skull-crushing death metal.

We remind that the festival’s line-up already includes Ghost, Gojira, Testament, Meshuggah, Behemoth, Exodus, Watain, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons (with a Motörhead set), Voivod, Moonspell, Perturbator, Alcest, Primitive Man, Sleep Token, Carpathian Forest, Lord Of The Lost, Unleashed, Lucifer, Heriot and Soen.
