Ghost

‘Ghost records and performs pop hymns that glorify and glamorise the disgusting and sacrilegious’, such words can be read on the official social media channels of the band, which entered the metal scene with the courage of rock and metal classics and a handful of closer or further musical inspirations, including pop ones. The Swedish group was brought to life in the middle of the first decade of the 21st century, and from their debut album "Opus Eponymous" to their latest, for the time being, "Impera," they bless us with dark hits that force us to take part in their dance macabre. Ghost has emerged to bring hard rock and heavy metal back to the world’s biggest stages. The band is headed by Papa Emeritus IV, a self-proclaimed pope who reveals himself in successive incarnations and travels the world with the Nameless Ghouls, playing anti-psalms interspersed with anti-preaching.
History:

Ghost was founded in Linköping in 2006. From the very beginning, the identity of its members was kept secret. Quite quickly, the band became an international success, with successive albums by anonymous musicians going gold in Sweden. In 2016, Ghost received the ‘Best International Band’ award (Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards).

The band has toured with bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Volbeat, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Slayer, and performed at some of the most important music festivals in the world: Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, Copenhell, Graspop Metal Meeting, Download Festival, Rock in Rio, Rock am Ring, Pinkpop Festival, Dynamo Metal Fest and more.
